Exchange Program

In order to empower and improve the local workforce, the Jurong Aracruz Shipyard offers specific training for students of the Instituto Federal do Espírito Santo - IFES, located in the municipality of Aracruz, inserting them into the company culture.

Immersion and training take place via the Programme for Educational Cooperation between the Instituto Federal do Espírito Santo - IFES and Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) of Singapore. The IFES program qualifies students to work in the Marine industry and train teachers with technology transfer.

The Project consists of the coming of educational consultants from Ngee Ann Polytechnic to the Instituto Federal do Espírito Santo and sending 15 students and three teachers per year to Singapore.

The Ngee Ann Polytechnic is an reference institution in marine and offshore technology. There are formed the majority of young people entering the various shipyards in Singapore. The project financing is borne by the Jurong Aracruz Shipyard.
