On April 12th, 19 students from UFES had the opportunity to visit EJA’s facilities as part of the shipyard Monitored Visit program. They learned more about the shipbuilding industry and the contributions EJA has been making to the sector.

The students were greeted at the auditorium with an introduction on the history of the Sembcorp Marine and EJA’s, it’s relationship with the surrounding communities and the positive impacts of its presence. It was followed by a more technical overview of the yard activities and a tour through the hullshop and quay. The closing keynote was ministered by EJA’s president, Mr. Altaf Hossain.

The visit was part of the 10th Petroufes, a technical and scientific event organized by students and teachers of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering undergraduate program of the northern UFES’ campus in São Mateus.
